MS debuted the new 62" wide Pilot Line at the 2001 CMM International Trade Show in Chicago.

Phase I of the project, as shown above, consist of:

1. Single position, servo-driven unwind with an Accuweb servo
   positioning web guide, Montalvo safety chucks and tension zone.
   

2. CM-203 Three roll coater/LAS moisturizer with 5-axis servo profile
   control for automated positioning of roll nip pressures and skew
   adjustment. The control scheme for the coater includes a recipe
   menu system with closed loop control from online measuring of wet
   coat weight and/or moisture addition.
   

3. Single position servo-driven rewind with a tension zone, spreader
   roll and lay-on roll.
   

4. Allen-Bradley Panel View touch screen operator station and Sanyo
   Denki Servo drives.
